2010! We are deep into it! 2010 has already been a year of change and anticipation. First show of the year? It was at Music City Roots out at the Loveless Barn on January 6th. Absolutely the coolest ongoing musical series taking place in Music City. Broadcast over WSM Radio every Wednesday. So.....off to a good start. AND--We will be doing it again in December! SO happy about that. We participated in Folk Alliance in Memphis, TN for the first time this year. GREAT! Reconnected with so many folks. A Good Thang. Jessie Scott and the Folks at Music Fog shot a great video of "Come Back Tomorrow" and a few other tunes while there.
Fats and Kristi Rose have been out doing lots of shows together, (sometimes joined by the great George Bradfute) BUT Kristi Rose and the ORIGINAL Pulp Country Band also regrouped to do a show right here in Music City. KR, Fats. Jack Silverman, Lorne Rall and Maxwell Schauf....what a night! We had a great trip to Texas in April and have been on several short runs thru the spring.

During all this Fats has still had time for sessions, recording LIVE CD with Kane-Welch-Kaplin at the Bluebird, doing shows with a number of great artists(including the Sonoma Jazz Fest w/Elvis Costello)AND keeping up with his Albert System Clarinet (long story) and general home maintenance. And Kristi Rose? Still loving it when she gets to do AQUAVELVET, practicing all those fabulous Pietor Angell songs (Frech and Italian!) so that she can sing them LIVE...not just in the studio, writing as always and holding the homeplace together....Barely!
Recap of 2009. So much wonderful travel, SO many adventures and......music. Shall we recap? Trips to Australia, Canada, ROME, (and the Eternal City was nuthin' but pleasure!) East Coast, West Coast, Cross Country and circles in between. Fats released "World Of Wonder" and the EP "7" that Fats and KR sell at shows has proven to "have legs" as they say. But 2010 promises even more as Kristi Rose and Fats head out ever more frequently. "North-South-East-West-- Can't say which I like the best".
